Has an LMIA-based work permit and presently works in Canada under the work category classed as "skilled" (NOC 0, A, or B level). At the time of applying for a permanent residency, the work permit is still valid and the applicant has received a full time job offer from the employer on a permanent basis.The applicant must still be in possession of a valid work permit at the time of receiving the permanent resident visa.
Has an LMIA-exempt work permit or entered into a provincial/territory agreement for a work permit and presently works in Canada. At the time of applying for a permanent residency, the work permit is still valid and the applicant has received a full time job offer from the employer on a permanent basis.The applicant must still be in possession of a valid work permit at the time of receiving the permanent resident visa.
Has no authorization to work in Canada as a result of lack of possession of a valid work permit. The applicant has received a full time job offer from a prospective employer on a permanent basis which has received a positive LMIA.
Has a valid work permit or authorization to work in Canada but not under the first two categories mentioned above. At the time of applying for a permanent residency, the work permit is still valid and the applicant has received a full time job offer from a prospective employer on a permanent basis which has received a positive LMIA.
